After my whirlwind trip through parts of Eastern Europe, I took a train from Rome to meet up with my professor and twelve fellow University of Texas School of Architecture students to start my study abroad program in the Netherlands. We lived in single apartments in Amsterdam and biked around the city visiting various architectural sites, led by our architecture professor, Dean J Almy, III. We stayed overnight in Rotterdam and Maastricht, but otherwise we took day trips to destinations unreachable by just bike. Is that not the best study abroad program ever? Traveling across the country on bikes on an architectural tour! If only it didn’t rain almost every single day! Hence the gray skies and umbrellas in all of the picures!
